The 2022 Toyota RAV4 brings with it a wide range of improvements including a new SE Grade for the hybrid model, new colour options as well as a few design changes designed to give the RAV4 an even more distinctive and bold look. The new Toyota RAV4 should have no problem continuing as the most popular vehicle in Canada outside of the truck segment. When you buy a Toyota RAV4, you’re getting a compact SUV that sets the benchmark when it comes to interior space, performance, efficiency, resale value, and reliability.
Improvements Made to the 2022 Toyota RAV4
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 gets a few design improvements this year including a new Calvary Blue exterior option with a black roof. This combination is available on the RAV4 XSE, the new Hybrid SE trim and the existing TRD Off-Road trim. The RAV4 lineup as a whole has received new wheel designs as well as redesigned headlights.
The new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid SE Grade offers newly-designed 18-inch black wheels, mono-tone paint, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a seven-inch touchscreen display audio system among its numerous features.
Multiple Engine Options in the 2022 Toyota RAV4
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 returns with a range of engine options that gives buyers everything they’re looking for in terms of performance and efficiency. The base powertrain is a 2.5 L four-cylinder which offers 203 horsepower as well as 184 lb-ft of torque. This is the most powerful engine you can get in the segment and it’s the only engine in a compact SUV to offer over 200 hp standard in a base trim. Although this engine is very powerful, it’s also very efficient with an average fuel consumption rating of 7.9 L per 100 km, and just 8.2 L per 100 km with all-wheel drive.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is also back with its impressive powertrain that combines the 2.5 L 4-cylinder that we talked about previously with an electric motor. The result is 219 horsepower with an average fuel consumption rating of just 6 L per 100 km. The Toyota RAV4 hybrid gets standard all-wheel drive and can tow 1,800 lb.
And then there is the very popular 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime which delivers 68 km of all-electric range, 302 horsepower, and a towing capacity of 2,500 pounds.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 shines in every respect. It offers over 1,000 L of standard cargo space, impressive standard safety features, and a perfect blend of comfort and refinement. There's a lot to love about this Toyota RAV4 and we promise that you will be impressed the second you get on the road.
