2025 Grand Highlander: Six Models, Three Powertrains

Toyota's 2025 Grand Highlander lineup brings expanded choice to Canadian families with six distinct models powered by three advanced powertrains. Starting at $50,860, the new Grand Highlander range includes both seven and eight-passenger configurations, with the addition of an eight-passenger option in the Hybrid Limited grade marking a significant expansion for 2025.

The Grand Highlander's adult-sized third row sets a new standard for family comfort in the premium SUV segment. This spacious interior provides 2,775 litres of cargo capacity with the seats folded, while maintaining room for seven carry-on suitcases behind the third row. The cabin's refined design incorporates soft-padded surfaces and high-quality stitching throughout, complemented by thoughtfully placed storage solutions for modern family essentials.

Three Distinct Powertrains for Every Need

The 2025 Grand Highlander XLE and Limited grades feature a robust 2.4-litre turbocharged engine producing 265 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, delivering confident performance for daily driving and weekend adventures.

The Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE and Limited models showcase Toyota's proven hybrid technology, combining a 2.5-litre engine with an advanced electric motor system. This efficient powertrain generates 243 total system horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque, while maintaining a 3,500-pound towing capacity. The range-topping Hybrid Platinum introduces the sophisticated Hybrid MAX system, elevating performance to 362 system horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, with a class-competitive 5,000-pound towing rating.

Premium Features Across All Models

The Grand Highlander XLE establishes a strong foundation with an extensive list of standard features. The eight-passenger configuration includes Toyota Multimedia with a 12.3-inch display screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and comprehensive connectivity services. Comfort features include power-adjustable heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Softex upholstery.

The Limited grade enhances the experience with premium amenities including leather seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, heated second-row captain's chairs, and an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system. Additional upgrades include 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic moonroof, and a hands-free power liftgate. For 2025, the Limited introduces an striking new Heavy Metal exterior colour option.

Advanced Safety and Technology

Every 2025 Grand Highlander includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, featuring enhanced driver assistance systems designed for Canadian driving conditions. The comprehensive safety package includes a Blind Spot Monitor System with Safe Exit Assist, trailer sway warning, and road sign assist technology. The Limited and Platinum grades add the Panoramic View Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with auto braking, while the Platinum exclusively offers Lane Change Assist and Front Cross Traffic Alert.
