300 horsepower sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is powered by a 1.6 L three-cylinder turbocharged engine that is unique in the industry. This engine is lightweight and compact, and yet it delivers remarkable performance with 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. This engine features a single scroll turbo that is integrated into the exhaust manifold in order to reduce weight while also improving efficiency. The direct fuel injection system operating at high pressure allows for maximum fuel dispersion and efficiency.

This engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox with rev matching and an advanced Toyota GR-four all-wheel drive system. The GR-four all-wheel drive system offers exceptional control, allowing the driver to modify power distribution between the front and rear axles along a 60/40, 50/50, or 30/70 split. The powertrain is complemented by a three-piece muffler capped off with brushed stainless steel tips out the back.

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla will come in multiple versions including the Core edition and the Circuit edition. The Circuit edition has a front and rear Torsen limited-slip differential for even if more impressive cornering performance and grip.
