Toyota had a lot of major announcements to make at the beginning of the month. Among the notable changes made to the 2023 Toyota lineup we have the arrival of the new Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid, but we also see multiple improvements made to the 2023 Toyota Corolla. Perhaps the most significant change is the addition of a new all-wheel-drive system on the 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid.
The new AWD system joins an impressive list of improvements made to the new Corolla Hybrid including more power from its hybrid system. The powertrain will continue to combine a 1.8 L Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder gas engine with two motor generators and a continuously variable transmission.
The Toyota Corolla Hybrid also gets more model choices and the latest generation of the Toyota safety Sense 3.0 safety system. The new TSS 3.0 system includes the following:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD)
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA)
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC)
- Lane Tracing Assist (LTA)
- Road Sign Assist (RSA)
- Automatic High Beams (AHB)
Like many new Toyota models recently unveiled, the 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid will also get the new generation Toyota multimedia system which offers impressive new features such as advanced voice command interactions, Destination Assist as well as point of interest search and Cloud navigation, and over-the-air updates to ensure the latest features. You also get the full suite of Toyota Connected services in the new Corolla Hybrid which includes remote locking and unlocking as well as emergency assistance and roadside assistance at the touch of a button.
